FVSM
The Mediterranean Wildlife Conservation Foundation (FVSM) was founded in 2003 and has as main objective the conservation of endangered Mediterranean wildlife species and ecosystems, promotion of rural development, promotion of international cooperation, stimulation of volunteer projects in order to support to the young rural population in overcoming the generational gap in relation to nature conservation and the rural environment.
The foundation is directed by an exclusive group of board members who have extensive field experience in nature conservation, management of protected areas within the Natura 2000 Network, restoration of Transhumance practices and Spanish pastoralism trails, sustainable tourism industry and Land Stewardship practices.
Among others, the main activities of the FVSM are the management of the Centre for Mediterranean Wildlife Conservation at the Son Pons estate, environmental education on endangered species and interpretation of the territory and the establishment of Land Stewardship agreements.
